Shaheen was just 14 when she was diagnosed with leprosy. It affected the nerves in her hands, causing them to claw. Simple things like holding a pen or writing became impossible. Her confidence and hope for the future began to fade.

But today, Shaheen’s life is full of purpose.

She can now sew a beautiful dress by herself and is preparing to join the clothing industry. This transformation didn’t happen overnight, it began with treatment, care, and access to opportunity through the Vocational Training Centre (VTC) you support! 

After diagnosis and initial medical support, Shaheen was still struggling with limited hand function. That’s when the hospital connected her to the VTC, where she received a scholarship funded by generous supporters like you. While studying, she also underwent physiotherapy, helping her regain the use of her hands.

The girl who once couldn’t hold a pencil now confidently guides fabric through a sewing machine. Her hands have been retrained, her dignity restored, and her path to a brighter future set.
