Batik Bird Cards Pack 4

Intricately drawn onto cotton, the dying process consists of the brightest colour applied first. Wax is applied to areas not to be coloured in colour being applied. The process is repeated for each colour used. After applying all colour, wax is applied to whole product. When the wax is dry, it is cracked and dipped into black dye. This stage gives the batik design its distinctive batik appearance.
